What is BTMS-25 made from?

BTMS-25 contains Cetearyl Alcohol and Behentrimonium Methosulfate. BTMS-25 contains 25% BTMS (Behentrimonium Methosulfate). BTMS-50 also contains 50% Behentrimonium Methosulfate. It does not have Cetearyl Alcohol and instead has Cetyl Alcohol and Behenyl Alcohol.

BTMS 50, Behentrimonium Methosulfate 50, is a natural vegetable based, high active (50%) cationic conditioner and emulsifier. It offers the formulator efficient cationic conditioning with emulsifying properties for hair and skin formulations. The BTMS 50 is a vegetable based viscosity increaser and emulsion stabilizer. BTMS 50 is recommended for use in lotions, scrubs, creams hair conditioners, detanglers, deep conditioning relaxers, and many other popular personal care products.

Our ChemConx BTMS 50 is both a mild primary emulsifier and an effective conditioning agent, which provides elegant cationic emulsions for both skin and hair care products. The BTMS 50 has a high percentage of cationic conditioning agents, the highest level, making it effective for use in a wide variety of skin and hair care products. In hair care, it is very popular in leave-on conditioners, as well as more traditional rinse off hair care products.
